Well you miss out out on some of the "sisterhood" stuff, comparing notes, relating things about men to each other, that kind of stuff, which actually is nice stuff, and does give you an "idea" about how some of your ideas and feelings fit in the scheme of things. Relationships / friendships with women are good for reflection; being able to talk outright and honestly about your feelings, and get some "girl" reflection; that frankly you just couldn't get from a guy.
Although, men make great friends, and in many instances better friends than women, at least that's been my experience. They are less petty, and if they have a problem they don't beat around the bush, no pun intended.

This sounds like me. I don't think there are any major pitfalls. You might forget certain feminine behaviors once in awhile, and stronger feelings may develop between the male and female friend.

the men always wanting to be more then friends. I hate that but i do have alot of guy friends that are like be brothers to me!!
