no not really

a stuck open will cause the car to take a while to heat up nothing bad will really happen

if it is stuck closed your car will overheat you can blow your head gasket, warp your block, your head and pistons and you will be wasting fuel because the ecu will think the engine is cold because the thermostat is closed and the thermostat is the thing that makes the temp gauge go up and down and the car will run rich on fuel the perfect air fuel ratio is 14.7 punds of air: 1 pound of fuel but it will probably run at 14.7 pnds of air : 2 pounds of fuel(14.7:1 perfect 14.7:2 rich mixture)

No. Since the thermostat is usually fully contained within a housing, it would be nearly impossible. Gaskets, hoses, radiator, water pump all can leak, but not a thermostat.

a thermostat that is stuck closed will cause the car to run hot or overheat increasing the pressure inside the system to the point of it leaking. If you change your thermostat, make sure to pressure test your system.

Not usually ,more likely a thermostat housing gasket can leak.

It cannot cause a leak by itself. There would need to be other problems in the cooling system.

Possibly, but more likely it will cause either over heating or not coming up to temperature.
