The studios argue that because there are no scripts, the writers of reality TV shows are not "writers" and can't be covered un the WGA. However, we all know that Reality TV shows are not real and writers are used to improvise dialogue, set up a scene, and create the dilemmas that these reality stars encounter (i.e. the contests they have to do, etc.) So shouldn't they be treated like writers?

They should be. I am so sick of this reality crap, we are going to be inundated with more and more garbage until this strike is resolved.
Reality my butt, they are so orchestratd its disgusting. If they were not, how would the camera capture little things said by contestants if it was NOT plotted out. They would like people to believe somehow the cameras are just "conveniently" there when the person jumps into a taxi or into a car or airplane or try to backstab each other to "survive". Come on now!!!

I thought they had just producers getting people to make the shows more interesting by suggesting what to do.
