I agree with davidk93, who, incidentally, has a great avatar picture.
Mosquitoes can follow the path of increasing CO2 concentration, which leads them directly to mammals. To avoid this, a ceiling fan, set on low, can be used to dissipate the CO2 throughout the room. Simple strategy, they can then go and suck blood from other family members.

Mosquitoes are attracted to carbon dioxide released through the breath and pores, as well as to certain fragrances and colors. Mosquitoes don't "like" some people more than others; those people just have these qualities that mosquitoes are attracted to.
