That he's a "big dog" & not a lap dog, or whiner, or wimp. Daddy is just a term for 'the guy', many singers have used it & lots of guys do, Hank Sr. refered many times to' your daddy's done left & gone', etc. Toby Keith would be a fun cuddle, but not a dude to mess with, pretty much what the song says.
