I'm just starting WoW and was wondering what is a good, strong class.

I like hitting stuff from a distance, so no warrior for me.

Depends a lot on your play style, and what you think you'd like to do ultimately with your character. If you like to play solo a lot, then hunter or warlock for sure.

If however you plan on playing in a group, you might want to consider looking up the different classes and the roles they can play in a party, and see what appeals to you. I have a friend with a level 70 hunter who started a priest on a whim and discovered that she really liked healing more than beating stuff up, even from a distance...

I'd check out the Warcraft webite, see what LOOKS good to you (you dont want to play a toon that makes you cringe every time you log on - which is why I cant use a gnome for anything more than a bank alt - but thats a personal preference ;) ) and then just play with it a bit, see how it feels to you. Or, you could save yourself some time if you really arent sure and watch some WoW videos on youtube. There are videos of every class/race combo that someone is showing off with...PvP and PvE...so that may give you a good idea what each class is capable of and what they look like in action.

If you like hitting things from a distance go with hunter, mage, or warlock. I've played both hunter and warlock. They are both fun but I kind of prefer hunter. I haven't tried mage.

Warlock or hunter are great starter classes because you have a demon/pet to help you. You get the demon for warlocks earlier than you get a pet for hunters, but you should be fine either way.

nicely ive been playing for roughly 5 yrs now, I easily have an 80 shaman, 80 loss of existence knight, 80 shadow priest, seventy 5 druid, and 70 hunter... and identity would desire to declare my shaman is one among my popular training in the recreation... ive continuously needed a mage, and that i dont think of they're that demanding to play and are a quite good beginner decision, yet yeah, mana could be an argument each and every now and then... you pronounced you tried a druid.... nicely they're the main versatile classification in the recreation, they might tank, heal, melee dps, and spell dps, so which you quite have your decision of something in that one classification (which makes it a good starter character)... im no longer lots of a melee fan myself as i tend to decide for extra of a caster form classification yet you additionally can % to attempt a paladin, ret is waaaaayyy to reliable at 80 and as a beginner, the shields that a paladin receives are a good thank you to sidestep you from loss of existence alot extra advantageous than you will desire to, and so they have a ability pronounced as lay on palms that quickly heals all your hp yet takes all your mana, so its extra advantageous to apply once you low on mana and dont have sufficient mana to do primary heals.... so my suggestions for a starter classification would be the two druid, paladin, or my own popular - the shaman.... good luck, you detect a minimum of one classification that hobbies you, each and every now and then you merely would desire to play them slightly longer till now they start to truly shine playstation my shaman is elemental and that i've got little to no mana matters in any respect
