You should be directing you questions at scientists, not atheists. They are not mutually exclusive.

lol, why would they have to move in the same direction? gravity doesnt depend on the rotation of the planets. and jupiter has 63 moons, most of them captured asteroids, so if one came in from the opposite direction of another one it would orbit jupiter in an opposite direction.

Why not? Is there a formula in physics that says things can't rotate in both directions? And would God have been so bored with creating planets that he had to make things spin in different directions to spice up His day?

It´s called retrograde motion. And they are captured asteroids. They didn´t form there thus they wouldn´t be subject to the conservation of momentum that governs how all things revolve around the sun. And there are four of them, not two. Got a hard question? Here´s one for you: how come so many christians claim to be pro life and cheerish all things living when there are so many depictions of war, massmurders and genocide in the bible? In one passage friendly ol god has a couple of she bears tear 40 children to shreds because they were acting their age...

It's amusing how you thumpers keep thinking that you've stumbled onto a science fact that will once and for all prove to the heathens that god made the universe, and then to watch how easily your foolish notion is swatted aside.

I am not too keen to believe that Real atheists really exist. Never the less conscerning the motion of planets they were designed to move as an intricalte control system which mimic the motion of atomic elementary particlesin atomic structures.
