I have a Sentra 05. A few months ago, I thought the acceleration randomly died and started working, and last week, I realized that whenever I turn on the lights (whether half with just turn signals or on the headlights), my acceleration is sooo slow, like I barely have my foot on the pedal, even when I floor it. When I have my lights off, the acceleration is fine.

Also, the brake light STAYS lit and the rear brake lights (which are supposed to only use half power or less whenever you aren't pushing on the brake) are at full brightness whenever the lights are turned on.

Also, when I put my foot on the brake and the lights are off, the dash lights up. WHAT'S GOING ON?

Whoever answers at least the acceleration issue, or the lights issues (both of them) will get a $10 Gift Card to whatever store they like online (I'll e-mail it to you). So please help me out! If you answer them BOTH, I will give you a $25 American Express Cash Card.

An item missing. Has this car been worked on lately. Did this problem develop suddenly. Do you have ABS. This is a very strange problem to diagnose. What I am suspecting is that when you turn on the lights there is a connection being made to the ABS system that causes the system to energize and apply the brakes. The only way is disconnect the ABS, like remove the fuse, and see if that solvas the problem.
