The first thing is are you released from doctor's care "permanent and stationary" so they know what the end result is from the injury? If you are still in treatment and recovery then the two lawyers still have to hammer out what happened and who is liable. If you are speaking of a final settlement - it will not happen until they figure out the long term prognosis of your injury. (Is it recoverable or is there serious permanent loss to you?)
