My dream since i can remember has been to become an actress. I've been acting for a while now, and i really want to get on a tv show or go into broadway. I dont think my parents take me seriously when i say that this is my dream, and i would do anything i have to do. I was thinking since my aunt lives in CA, and thats where there are major studios and such, that icould move in with her in a few years. I havent asked them yet about moving in with my aunt, but i dont think they would let me. I'm going to act for a few more years, and then i will plan on moving out there but i dont know how to tell my parents.
How do i convince them that this is what i reallly want and i know that there are alot of bad things about it, and that its hard work acting... but there are also good things that happen too.
thank you
~mandy

What you do, Mandy, is get into all the school plays and be very good in them, then people will start telling your parents how good you are and they may begin to see that you can become an actor. When you graduate, it may be a good idea to go to your aunt's if she will have you , and then you can start working in earnest. But it is very important for you to tryout for all the plays at school, because if you do not get good roles, you may not be any good at acting.
