I have been using pampers swaddlers, and just switched into huggies supreme. Due to my daughter will sleep around eight hours a nite (thankfully). And when she would wake up in the mourning she was soaked. I have switched to the huggies and no leaks during the nite! Yay! However I just don't like them they seem so rough feeling to me. I have tried the pampers cruiser and they are still to big for her, and I have a hard time finding the swaddlers in the size "2-3" expect for a small package and I hate buying a small package. The pampers baby dry and garbage to me I hate them. I have seen the new Luv's commericals and know they are also made by P&G and I'm wondering are they good or also garbage. I would love to just get one of them to try out. Anyone used them before? What did you think compared to the pamper swaddlers/huggies supreme? Thanks! :-)

I use Pampers with my son, but my mom LOVES Luvs!
That's what she used on me (back in the 80's) but said they are the best diaper ever invented! :)

I plan on trying them soon!

I have a 3 month old - and am still using all of the diapers that I got as gifts at my shower.... so I have used them all. Personally, I think that Luvs are junk. I am going to exchange them for Huggies - I thought that Pampers were better, I used the swaddlers when she was a newborn - and loved them. Then I switched to the gigantic pack of Huggies Supreme that I had - and was excited to go back to Pampers when they were all gone - Now that I'm back to Pampers, I like the Huggies Supreme better. I leave Luvs at the grandparents houses - because they are cheaper, and if its just diapers during the day (changed every few hours) - they are fine, but for long ter, (night time, etc) - I think I'm a Huggies girl lol :)

I know alot of people have had good experiences with LUV's but for my son they just sucked! He has really sensitive skin and that horrible blue chemical gel they use to get them "just as absorbent as the pricier brands but for half the cost" gave him diaper rash so bad his skin would literally blister (even if the diaper was still completely dry the chemicals would hurt his skin). Plus they have a big gap in the front because they aren't stretchy, which makes them totally useless for a boy. My son had to sleep on his tummy when he was little because of breathing problems and everytime he peed it just went straight out the top of the diaper, useless.
We used the pampers swaddlers while he fit into them (sizes one and two), they are by far the best best best. I didn't like the pampers baby dry either, and the cruisers we had problems with leaks. So when he hit size 3 we switched to Huggies baby shaped fit. they're not as soft as the pampers but his little butt has toughened up a bit since he was a tiny baby :), and the huggies are the best as far as leak protection, the only ones he can sleep through the night in and I never have to worry about him waking up soaked (well, except that now he's learned to take off his diaper in the middle of the night and pee out the side of his crib so now we have a whole new set of issues, lol)
anyway, that's just what's worked for us.

Hi,

I am a big fan of Pampers and Luvs. I heard the Luvs are the old Pampers. I used Huggies before and they suck (they bulge out with my son pees). To me, Luvs work great, even overnight. My son uses them. We used Pampers, but Luvs seems the exact same for $2.00 less. They also have the new bear flex that is just like the Pampers sides too. I recommend them all the way. Just make sure you buy the ones that say bear flex on them, cause I think they still have the other ones that the sides don't stretch. Good Luck.

***EDIT*** Also, I forgot to say that Luvs are thin like Pampers, absorbent. Huggies are a bit thicker, but don't have the leak core (like in pads) that is what makes them not bulge out. Kinda like comparing Always thick pads to the thin ones, lol.

You best bet is to just buy a small pack and see how you like them.

I actually did not have a good experience with Luvs. I personally like Pampers Cruisers/Swaddlers and Huggies Supreme I feel that they are more comfortable and absorb well.

Huggies make a soft diaper, Huggies Supreme..very comparable to the Pampers swaddles.

I hated the Luv diapers. They use to much dies that made my daughter break out in a terrible diaper rash. If you baby doesn't have a sensitive behind, then give them a try, they work just as good as all the others.

Ive used luvs with my daughter, they didn't leak but unfortunately she was allergic to them. Ive used them off and on with my son and i haven't had any problem at all. I really love the pampers swaddlers. I don't like huggies, they just don't seem to fit my son well.

I personally hate Luv's every time I put my daughter in them the poop leaks out the top and they barely stretch. My fave diaper to use are pampers baby dry I have had no leaks with them so far but every time she wears luv's they leak. I used huggies for a while to and those were not bad.

I disliked huggies (my daughter had blow out every bm with them-they just wouldn't contain anything) and luvs were about the same as pampers but cheaper so I've been using those ever since. Except for at daycare they get the kroger or walmart brands-cheap cheap.
I've had overnite peepee leaks with them all so I haven't found one to be better than the other where that is concerned.

I didn't like Luvs nor Huggies. Pampers worked cause they felt so soft, but man are they expensive. If you have a Costco in your area I would recommend Kirklands. They are super absorbent and they feel like cotton. I love them and so does my daughter. So far she has not had diaper rash since she started using them. If you can find a Costco, you will get your diapers in bulk so there will be no need to ever worry about purchasing a small package again.
