Can someone please explain to me why my windshield washer system only works in the rain? Whenever I try to squirt when it isn't raining, it doesn't work. Anyone have a fix for this? thanks

its an older car. a 96 to be exact no automatic wipers or fancy stuff like that

Do you have one of those new cars with the moisture sensitive wipers? Check the owners manual.

Maybe it is because you have the rain sensitive thing that prevents you from turning it on when its not raining like the other guy said, but when you cleaning it and they don't move, that's weird. (Maybe the wiring is messed up)?

Maybe it will only work if your wipers are on.
