abiotic things such as the 3 cycles how do these things affect the platypus

since they are an aquatic life form they need a water source to build their homes on water (almost like a beaver dam).water levels would effect their homesite(floods)from extra carbon in the air (global warming effect).
while the water source at low levels like droughts(from high temps) would probably kill of their supply (fish) as would a big algae bloom would occur and produce extra O++ that would also kill the fish.(food).
