Yes, ghosts are real, they are merely people without bodies. They are not however as common as some seem to think. Some people see them while others do not and even then some ghosts show themselves only to certain people at certain times.

Most hauntings are just active imaginations.

The word "ghost" is only used in two ways in the Bible; such as, "give up the ghost" (as in dying) or when speaking of the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity). When a person dies his destiny is fixed and is no longer on this earth, but is either in heaven or hell. What most people who claim to have experienced ghosts are really experiencing demons or fallen angels who are under the dominion of Satan. All attempts to communicate through mediums, channelers, Ouija boards and such can be dangerous as you may become a victim of demon possession or oppression. The closer we get to the Lord's coming the more active demons will become as Satan knows his time is growing short.

It all depends on your morals, imagination, and the probability of living near a graveyard. Yes, ghosts are technically real. Ghosts are the wandering and lost spirits of dead people. They leave the dead carcass and usually go to Heaven, but some get stuck behind--in limbo. But of course, this all depends on your religion. It's easy to believe they go to Heaven if you are Christian or Catholic etc. Sometimes these ghosts are mad at other people for living a well life while they are dead, so they make their life hell. Otherwise, these are the infamous "poltergeist". Malicious ghosts who hurt you for no reason at all.

Ghosts are said to be a manifestation of a dead person, some believe it be be the spirit or soul of the dead and others believe it be be the personality. People all over the world think differently when it comes to what ghost really are and if they really exist or are just part of the imagination. One of the earliest recorded sightings of a ghost happened in Athens Greece between 63-113CE when Pliny the Younger wrote a letter to Athenodoros Cananites who was a philosopher, about his sightings of a ghost. Ghost stories have continued throughout the years and many places are said to be haunted by ghosts.

Seeing a ghost is a real human experience. I suspect that ghosts associated with hauntings, crisis apparitions and seeing your deceased relatives may all have different explanations. The term apparition used to mean the visual image of person that you know to not be physically present at your location was used as far back as 1882 in order to attempt to be more precise than the word ghost.
If a ghost is the surviving spirit of a person, a recorded memory impressed in the atmosphere, or access to a collective consciousness (all ideas to explain ghosts) is something that science has not yet determined.
Dreams and emotions are real and do not posses a physical structure so are ghosts material objects? most experiences suggest they are not.
However, quantum physics has proved that most material objects are also mostly empty space so....

It depends.
First of all, people believe in different types of ghosts all around the world. What we believe in though, is skinless spirits floating around. No they do not harm you in the movies like they do. They're not exactly floating personalities, but I like to Spirits instead of Ghosts, The word Spirit explains a bit more of the truth.

I haven't seen any ghost before but I do believe their real my daughter madeline said can I ask the angels to hug me sure I said and how about the ghost no if u ask them or pray for them to come they will hurt u and kill u so maybe u shouldn't do that.50% believe in ghost!!!!

I am fascinated by the idea of ghosts, although I have never had a paranormal experience/encountered a ghost or anything, I am still open minded and believe they could most definitely be around :)
