How long must you grow a rubber tree before cutting?

Usually 9 months, lets say if you bought your rubber tree on january 1st in october you would have to cut it before winter and the snow comes.

You can cut it back anytime. The portion you cut off, dipped in rooting hormone, placed in potting soil will also grow.
