It's philanthropist. Philos is the Greek word for love and anthropos is the Greek for man so literally loving man. It's someone who gives extensively to charity and does charitable deeds. For example, Oprah or Andrew Carnegie

A philanthropist?? that is someone (generally someone that is famous and well to do) that gives away alot of their money to charities and does good causes for people. Jackie Onassis is an example of a philanthropist. It is like their job to give away money to noble causes.

its actually a philanthropist ( said: fill- an-throw-pist) it is someone who gives a very large sum of money to charity, I.E. bill gates is an extreme philanthropist, and so is oprah winfrey ( usually is someone very wealthy
