Well I guess I'll answer this question since it actually has some merit. It is a tough question, but my answer is hands down Crash bandicoot 2. Just an incredible game never get tired of playing it. What's up with all these questions about toys?

Okay, well..
There are tons of great games out there. It would be a disservice to all video games to even attempt to name one. There are favorites though, of course. But they are normally related to the person's taste in games. Naming a best video game ever would be an opinion, of one person, unless everyone in the world agreed.. which isn't very likely. There would be new, better games within a few years anyways.
My personal favorites are :
The Sims 2, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, and Grand Theft Auto.

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess (Wii)
Digimon World Dawn (DS)
Yugioh! GX Spirit Caller (DS)
Paper Mario (N64)
Digimon World 2 (PS1)
Worms World Party (PC)
Impossible Creatures (PC)
Smackdown VS Raw 2007 (PS2)
Metal Slug 2 (An arcade game that I have played when I was 5 years old at a gameshop. It was also my very first favorite game.)
These are the games that I really liked during my life and some of them I still have. I had Digimon World 2 since I was 9 years old, but my Playstation broke.

At my advice, there isn't one which is absolutely better than all the others; I can list some titles which I consider simply Super (they deserve an A+):
- No one lives forever 2 (action-adventure)
- Silent Hill (the first) (scary adventure)
- Return to Castle Wolfenstein (shoot action)
- Syberia 1 (graphic adventure)
They join a wonderful graphics and a perfect playability.

I think Super Mario smash Bros. (Gamecube & Nintendo 64), Golden Eye (007[for nintendo 64]), Pokemon Pearl, & Lego Star Wars (for playstation 2). I love all of the games above!
