It was suggested to me that I learn as much as possible about using MS excel and MS powerpoint. Most jobs that I have been researching require adm assistants and secretaries to have some experience or at least know how to use one or both. That puts me at a disadvantage because I only have experience with MS outlook and MS Word.

Does anyone know about legitimate free tutorials or programs online to learn powerpoint and excel??

microsoft has great self-paced training- i have done a bunch of their's. they are free and very informative- you can pick and chose the ones u want to do.

If you are using Mac PowerPoint, use File > Project Gallery. Click the Learn tab.

Use the Microsoft Office installation disc you got when you purchase MS Office to install it onto your new laptop. Did you purchase a multiple install product key code from Microsoft ?
