I was going to ask for "A" quality, but sometimes I think those "just pick ONE" questions are unfair...so...name as many or as few as you want.

I choose my friends carefully.I want someone who is exactly who they appear to be,I'm not a big fan of magicians.Obviously,total honesty is what I'm talking about,if I have to guess what you're talking about,I'm not interested anymore.Also,I'm extremely kind,but plain-spoken.Tell me what you're thinking,if I'm your' friend,I'll assess,NOT judge.People that constantly throw up images,or illusions are a waste of my time,be WHO YOU ARE.And be NICE.So many people don't seem to understand how far 'nice' carries you in this world.
There's other qualities I can mention,but that's the blue-print.

Sorry, but there is no "perfect" bestfriend. Trust me, I know. What you want in a bestfriend would be the one who follows the basic rule of relationships. Give and take. Someone who you can totally be yourself with (i.e. You're in your pj's and your hair is all messed up when she/he came over, but she/he doesn't mind.) Someone who respects your ideas and decisions... Someone you can tell anything to... Someone who understands you... And basically that's it. We can't avoid any fights or arguements, that's natural. You don't have to be that picky anyway. Who knows, maybe your worst enemy now can be your long lost best friend. :)

Loyalty and trust I think are the biggest things. If a friend is loyal you know they have got your back no matter what and will not be judgmental. If you have trust, then there is nothing you can't talk to them about.
