Wellbutrin is advertized as the anti-depressant that least impacts libido but I am sure your wife has already tried it and found that Lexapro works better for her. She might want to discuss with her doctor options of medications or supplements that increase libido in women to counteract what her anti-depressant is doing. Is this a problem for her as well? If not, you may need to make the decision if you are able to stay in a marriage with a lack of intimacy. It is better to get out of the marriage than begin having a sexual affair behind your wife's back in order to satisfy your needs, you would not be doing her any favors...

Lexapro like Zoloft is an SSRI drug - their classic side effect is no sex drive.
Taking less isn't really an option, since even minute amounts cause the side effect. Plus you don't want to be altering her dosage without her doctor's knowlege & approval.
And, despite what you might read here, there are no "creams or pills" she can take to increase her libido. No such cream or herb or tea or pill exists. The only thing we know works great is daily doses of testosterone, which will give her facial hair and oily skin.
Perhaps her condition would allow some other treatment for GAD that is not an SSRI. Talk to her and then her doctor.

Tough issue. However i've found that these medications dont really kil the libido as much as block the brain's normal access to it. Think of it as a detour. Having said that she's not stimulated the same way anymore so try other ways. You just can't be like "hey baby, how about it?" or whatever. Think, scene, mood, relaxation...
Also the sex drive thing with Lexapro is almost always temporary so wait it out.

That's a tough one, because other than changing the medication there really isn't much that can be done. These effects are not psychological, they're physical! Anti-depressants can even make climax with masturbation absolutely impossible! Is your wife willing to do things to please you even though she no longer desires sex? You could try counseling together for advice on how to stay intimate even when one partner can no longer perform.

Yeah, your plan sounds good dude, go for it. There isn't much else to be done besides using your hand a lot or getting a g/f on the side.

I was on an antid for a short time because I was turning into a monster around my mens (PMDD) and it was giving me the same sort problem. I got off the meds and combatted the mood swings by changing my diet...cutting way down on the caffeine, and sugar which was amping my emotions. Gradually I stopped having those episodes. If your wife is going through the same or perhaps the menopausal stage then try that or just ride it out my friend. God made us this way...

Most likely yes, they have been known to kill the sex drive. You can try herbal remedies, they may help. Herbal sexual stimulants that is, like Ginko or Ginsing, my mother swears by Ginsing and has a crazy sex life now in her 60's. I would avoid more prescription pills and realize that herbs can be just as strong as doctor's pills. And be sure to tell your doctor about any additional herbal treatments, they may be stressful on her heart. Most stimulants are just that, stimulants, they can raise the heart rate.

Oh my. Wow thats tough. Well, talk about a sacrifice, to just take out your own sex drive, thats brave of you. Well I think no matter what, she should still relieve you, unless she wants you to go out and cheat on her. Maybe medical marijuana? I dont know.
