Try running a scan direct from the servers of Trend Micro HouseCall. Open the link I am going to give you. Install the active "X", that is required for the scan as it is safe, and follow the instructions. Complete the entire scan and in the end the virus or viruses will be found and destroyed.

your virus scanner should be able to remove them for you but if not you can do this

Once you have identified that your computer has a virus you should do the following immediately:

* Quarantine your computer. Do not share files with anyone else!
* Run the current version of Trend Micro Antivirus software on your hard drive

You could also download and use NAI Stinger Virus Removal Tool. The Stinger tool is a stand-alone utility that can be used to detect and remove specific viruses only on Windows operating systems. The Stinger tool is not a substitute for a full anti-virus checker but it can be used for a quick check to see if your machine is infected with a current virus

you should search for one on google

Download and Install Super Antispyware free. Reboot into Safe mode and Run SAS. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

If Super Antispyware and AVAST won't remove the malware post your problem at Bleeping Computer and let the experts there help you. It is free and a great site.

I am surprised to learn that Avast let you become infected in the first place!! I am using it and it never left me down.

I think you should download and run CCleaner it will fix the registry. both are free.
