Matt, so ur saying u give less respect and consideration to ur life partner than you do to a business partner??? WoW. I sure wouldn't get involved with someone like you. This is a good question to ask anyone who you are considering for a life partner. How evil is the heart of man...

Of course it does. What that equality IS depends on the partners, but yes. I'm NOT sure what kind of partnership you are thinking about, whether as a couple, or in business, or whatever the case may be, but the term itself implies a 50/50 split of what is being partnered. Again, negotiation between the partners might be, "Hey, look I'll take car of this 35% and you do the other 65%", but otherwise, equals, yes.

I assume you mean domestically. No there is no equaltiy there. Because if something happened to one, their family can step in and totally cut out the partner unless there is legal documentation giving the partner the right to choose what will be done.

oh, your speaking business. Well, you gotta hash that out in the details; you could be 60-40, or 51-49, or 50-50, you know, it means what the persons in question decide it means. Legally, of course.
