What are ways to make money with half a house?

we have half a house and dont use it, so is there a way to use it to make money?

yes rent it out -- if the area will support it and you want to go that way convert to a bed and breakfast!!!

The obvious answer is to convert the rest of the house into an apartment and rent it out to a tenant. Or open a business in the otherwise unused portion of your house.
