My daughter is in 5th grade and is working on a state report. Her state is North Carolina. We have been working on this for a couple weeks and she must give a speech in class this Friday. I just found out that she also has to create a mobile for the project, which is also due this Friday. Does anyone have any creative ideas for creating a mobile other than the old wire hanger? Or maybe an idea to bend a hanger into a different shape at least? My daughter really needs a good grade on this report, so I want to be able to give her some good and maybe unusual ideas that might help bring her grade up. I don't have a lot of money to spend on it and we also don't have a lot of time since it's due on Friday! The only requirements were that she include at least 5 pictures or objects and she has to write a sentence or 2 explaining the signifigance of the items. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Since the Wright brothers made their first flights on the North Carolina coast, why not have the mobile hang from a mock up of the first air craft? Other things of significance from NC are the Lost Colony, Blue Ridge Mountains, Biltmore Estate, Cherokee Indian Reservation and the Univ of NC at Chapel Hill (first public univ in country).

Get a thin dowel stick about 1/4 " thick & hang the things off of it at different heights. Hang the stick from the celing with package sealing tape & a string or thin wire.
