Does anyone think the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl this year? I don't think they will even make it to the Super Bowl. They are an excellent team but the Post Season is a Whole New Ball Game. They may have shot up like a rocket! But I think they are gonna fall Like a Rock! What do you all think?

I think they might get knocked out in their first game honestly. But ONLY IF they play Jacksonville in conditions like this past week where Tom Brady was basically limited to handing the ball off. Jacksonville has the 2nd ranked run offense. And I know New England has a "good" run defense, but that is only because everyone is playing from behind and are obligated to pass the ball. But if you look at the average yards allowed per run, they are 27th in the league, allowing 4.3 yards a carry. So if weather permits, Jacksonville WILL beat New England @ Foxborough. Crossing my fingers.

If not, pray the Colts knock 'em off!

Sure, let's base our opinions on the last two playoff games and totally ignore the 15 post season wins that they have in the past decade. The Patriots have a young defense that got a lot of good experience and they played very good in the last third of the season, allowing 7 points or less in 4 of the last 5 games. They will add more talent in the draft and will be getting starters DE Ty Warren and Leigh Bodden back. The offense will continue to put up a lot of points. I don't know if they will win the Super Bowl, but they definitely will be one of the top contenders.

I think thats wishful thinking with no logical basis on your part. Yes, its true the playoffs are a whole new ballgame, the Patriots have been there more than any other team going there this season. Coach Belichick has coached there more than any other coach going there this season. They have been undefeated in Foxboro in the playoffs since the 1978 loss to the oilers. There is only 1 cold weather team in the AFC playoffs, pittsburg and we all have seen how well they match up against new england.

How can you not pick the Patriots to go, or even win the Super Bowl? I'm no fan, but I do care about throwing money away, "if I were a betting man". hehe....Any pick other than the Patriots at this point in the season is done so with determination in luck. From the money point of view in football

No..I think that the Colts even without Freeney, the Jags, and the Chargers if they are healthy all can go to NE and MAYBE get a win..the Colts I'm sure can go there and win its just a matter of will they..other two I'm not confident about but they've got a chance

I think the Patriots will win Superbowl..

You say the "Post Season is a Whole New Ball Game" .. yet it is... and the Patriots are 10-1 in the post season, they are experienced in the post season play... I don't think, that will be a factor.

I think they will. They'll probably go undefeated through the season the playoffs and they'll win the super bowl too

thats a good point, the playoffs are a whole different story and this patriots roster only has 272 combined playoff games under their belt not to mention only 86 combined superbowls so playoff experience will certainly be a problem for them. you forgot to mention their weak scedule as well. the fact that they have already beaten everyone they will face in the playoffs does not bode well for them either. Yup, things are not looking good for the pats in the playoffs.

I think out of all the playoff teams Green Bay has the best shot at beating them. Their corners are the two of the best the front four guys get pressure without to much blitzing and their linebackers are a bunch of animals. On offense they are balanced enough to beat you so many ways, five wide or a power running game. Thats why I think the Packers will beat the Pats in the Super Bowl.

They still have not been beaten, even in close games. They will play their playoff game(s) at home and they earned that privilege. I say they will win it all. Teams like the Colts, Steelers and Cowboys, all playoff bound, have been beaten by them. Why should anything change?
