There is a very simple trick that will take out the smell for just
pennies.
Step One
Place garment in the dryer. Place one or more dryer sheets inside of dryer according to strength of smoke smell, using more dryer sheets for a stronger smoke smell. Turn on the dryer.
Step Two
Tumble garment with dryer sheets for about one minute. Take out and smell. If the smoke smell is still there repeat step #1.
Tips & Warnings
* If a garment is dry clean only, run the dryer for 15 seconds at a time to avoid shrinkage.
Overall Tips & Warnings
* The stronger the scent of the dryer sheet, the quicker the smoke smell will come out. The dryer sheet sucks the smoke smell out of the garment and into itself.
Alternatively, hang the garment securely on a hanger and place it outdoors for several hours. Choose a spot where the garment will get well-aired but not damaged by the elements.
Overall Things You'll Need
* Dryer
* Dryer sheets

Wash them and put them in your room hidden so you can be sure that the smoke doesn't get into your clothes. I'm sorry your parents smoke.

Only way to get smell out is to get your clothes out of there. See if you can leave school clothes at a friends house or something. Smoke is very strong smell it does not just come out.

put your clothes in the closet, and tell your parents to smoke out side if you guys got a balcony....smoking in the house is so disrespectful to others, imo.

Wash them or ask your parents to stop being so inconsiderate and smoke OUTSIDE so you don't smell like tar and smoke.

First thing you should do is poor vinegar into small bowls, add a cotton ball and set these out in the room to absorb the cigarette smell. My husband use to smoke in his office at home and this helped with the smell. Then wash your clothes, use downy in the rinse cycle, downy sheet in the dryer and then frebreeze them when you put them on.

Maybe run them through an 'air cycle' on the dryer with a scented dryer sheet for a little while before you get dressed.
