My question was a veiled attack upon political correctness but the point does not seem to have been taken by most contributors.
It is real history in so far as such things happened. It is only the names which are missing.

It does sometimes feel as though the UK is being held to ransom by the tiny minority (although they're not a minority in my part of town!).

However, are Muslims the new Jews? For centuries, Jews were blamed for all that was wrong in society. Now it is the Muslims to blame.

Why is this in History? Oliver Twist was a work of fiction, not a figure from history.

And what does his religion have to do with the price of fish?
