I think you have asked some great questions about the classic country music that many of us grew up with. I enjoy your questions so don't stop asking them. There are just some certain folks on here that are jealous of what others know about classic country music. You are doing fine with your questions so keep on with them. Try your best to ignore the ones who are criticizing you.

Well, I think the questions about classic country are interesting. I don't know nearly enough about the stuff as I want to know.
I don't believe your questions are "air haired" as you put it. I think that the more interesting the way a question is asked the better the question it is. I don't think you're being stupid. I think you're trying to make this fun like the rest of us who love the older stuff are trying to do.
To name a few------Real Okie Fan, Fool for Tommy Collins, Tex, myself, and a Whole Lot of Others..
So keep up what ya been doin' and just do your best to ignore the --------------s who want to ruin this good thing that's goin' for all of us who love country music, esp. the classic country.
I gotta tell ya, I like some of the new stuff, but not much of it. Because I know that people are trying to keep the real country music alive, I tend to ignore any remarks that get made about the ones I do like. ------because we're all entitled to our own opinions, and most of the time the remarks are mostly true and justified.
Here's one----Taylor Swift is nothin' but a wannabe Cinderella.

I agree with everyone(almost) above me. I like to read about the Legends. I have listened to country since the late 60's(born in '65). I like some of the new stuff-done by singers who started BEFORE 1996. I can't stand what is currently being called country. It ain't country, it woulda been classified as pop in the 80's. There are alot of contributors who ask good questions and give informative answers.

Old or Classic country music is the way to go.
The modern music though good, does not have the heart that the Hank Williams,Kitty Wells,Johnny Cash,Hank Thompsons and on and on putinto their music.
Todays world of country is a "glamor Shot" beauty contest.

I thought I loved Classic Country before...now, after reading and answering questions in this section, I love it soooo much more. I'll see a name or a song I hadn't heard before and go look it up and LOVE it!! I love the questions because it either leads me to more great classic country or refreshes my memory on the stuff I haven't heard in a while!!!

I personally thrill to be able to learn previously unknown info about our legends. As for the questions you ask I find them intelligent. Do'nt let those goobers get the best of you.

Ask on brother...ask on. I for one like all questions that deal with country music. Especially if they deal with Texas based musicians.
