During the war the Americans tried to hold a Bridge and stop the Germans blowing it up. It was well behind the battle front and in Enemy territory. They could not hold it, as it was too far for the invasion to get, before they had to give in.
This whole scenario was made into a Film... titled... A bridge too far.
Now you know.

Now this one i know , its do to with the Diary you see, when she meets mark Darcy and falls in love , its just all too much for her , she writes awful things in there and things just spiral
