if it gets the red ring of death will microsoft pay to fix it or do i have to buy a new one.

If it gets the Red Ring of Death it is a hardware malfunction, then you can send it to microsoft and they will fix it for free and ossibly give you another xbox live membership if you don't have one.

As I said in respone to your last post, Microsoft has extended the manufacturer's warranty for the red ring of death to 3 years.
