Literally, yes. Romatically, blue means sad. I assume the writer is trying to convey sadness as opposed to getting burned.

To me it means I loved you but some how Im lovin you even more and more as time goes on....but that is out of context the rest of the lyrics would help convey what the writer really means....

Timbaland 'Apologize'... beautiful song: literally I take these words to mean that the love is dying out and that one partner is feeling less love for the other for whatever reason.
