He just sent me an email, it read:
"Dear Friend,
The truth is it took years to drive our country so far off track and it will take a lot of hard work and determination to get it back on track.
And while it's tempting to lay all of the blame at the feet of George W. Bush, the fact is that he couldn't have done it without the support of the Republican Congress that did so much damage while they were in the majority.
To make lasting change, we need both a Democrat in the White House as well as a strong Democratic Majority in Congress.
2008 is going to be a campaign season like no other. Democrats' FEC end-of-year fundraising reports will be carefully scrutinized to frame the 2008 landscape. That includes reporters and pundits trying to gauge Democratic strength and momentum as 2008 begins. If you contribute to the Democratic Year-End Challenge, House Democrats will match and double your gift towards our drive for a New Direction."
Should I donate money even if I can't afford to?

While I wouldn't ever give a single dollar to any politician or party, I'll still vote Democratic until they do me wrong. If I were a Republican in these days, I'd be puking my guts out everyday knowing I helped vote in Bush and his administration twice.
Interesting answers though, thank you.

You should support them in the polls. If you don't have the money, don't donate it to politicians. donate the money to a more worthy cause, such as AIDS in Africa, or a global warming fund. $$ is not hte only way to support them.

No!
He is appalling! Going to another Country and bashing America, he should be ashamed of himself. He should also never have received the Nobel Peace prize, that was a JOKE.
I can understand anyone that disagrees with certain politics, but to go to another Country and bash America is nothing but treason. He along with Michael Moron, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, the Dixie Sh*ts, etc. As much as I hated the Clintons politics or the left wing liberals politics, I would NEVER betray my Country by turning my back on America only to get an applause from those around the globe that want us dead.

Take a hard look at your finances, If you can't afford to then do not donate. I'm sure there isn't a single candidate that would rather see you starve, or unable to pay your bills putting yourself in debt just to conrtibute to there campiagn. If you can't afford to contribute financially but still wish to help how about volunteering your time. If you are a democrat go down to your local county office and help out any way needed.

Well here is the problem with it, dozens of scientists have proven that all of his hoopla is in fact just that. The worlds not going to end or anything like that. Do I think we could be taking measures to help our environment, yes. But I would never give money to gore and his political agenda.
Gore is nothing more than a hypocrite. This man who wants you to reduce your "carbon footprint" By walking or taking other means of travel, and yet he refuses to take commercial airlines for his cross country travel. Think of his carbon footprint, this man doesn't wanting you to drive your gas guzzling suv to work but he takes a private jet.
If you want to help your environment and you don't have the money to do it, try donating your time. You can always pick up trash on the sides of roads, you could adopt a highway, you can get a hybrid vehicle if you really want. Just don't give money to Gore.

I wouldn't give these political machines one-dime.
Have you seen how much money these candidates spend on just a daily expense report? First-class travel, 5-star hotels, 300 dollar per-diem for meals, and a littany of high-tech equipment, wardrobe expenses in the six figures, and of course the ever-famous 400 dollar hair cuts.
These are obscene spending machines, that waste money, fuel, time and energy, in order to convince you they are trying to help the "common" man. The Clinton campaign spends more in one day, than the average American makes all year, and now their party comes to you for even more money.
The Republican spending for campaigns is just as obscene.
It's time our politicians learn how to get elected without demanding more dollars, from tax payers.
If you wish to donate a little time, to help your favorite candidate please do so. If you donate them money, most of it will be squandered on roast beef, filet mignon, french wine and posh leather seats on their private jets. Do you really want to fund that?

"The truth is it took years to drive our country so far off track and it will take a lot of hard work and determination to get it back on track."
Yes, it took years and years, it's not President Bush' fault but he continues to get blamed.
You would think Al Gore would take his home state during the last presidential race but he DID NOT! That says ALOT for him right there.
And as far as the Nobel Peace Prize...WHAT A JOKE!! I used to be in awe of those who have received it but not anymore.
I wouldn't donate one red cent.

Go for it, Sunshine. Although, I find it very ironic that the Gork failed to mention that prior to the Republican congresses, the democrats didn't do much either. Has he already forgotten that the Senate voted against the Kyoto Protocol 98 to 0?

Making a good speech doesn't count much for walking the honest walk, and Al Gore is a long way short of doing a sincere effort to make things better. He says the US Government needs to do a better job, wasn't he VP for 8 years? Why didn't he try and make a honest government then?

Al is spouting bad science and getting rich off of it. If he needs money, let him sell a couple of his energy sucking homes, SUVs and his vintage carbon spewing jet.
