How can I stop my lexmark cartridges from drying up..?

above answer will work but if it does dry up...

Bleed the cartridge by moistening a paper towel and then touch the contact end of the cartridge to the towel. Repeat a couple times and about %70-%80% fo the time you will save the cartridge.
