Like a torn ligament or something?

I probably should have included that I don't have the money to go to the doctor so that is out of the question. I wish I lived in Canada.

Darlin', if you truly dislocated it - you've damaged it. Either torn or stretched ligaments, or worse.

I think you should probably go see an orthopaedic surgeon and get that checked out. You want to catch any possible problem before it gets worse. You will have to get xrays and possible an MRI. You really don't want to wait though. You best get in as soon as you can. Good Luck!

In some cases, you will know due to range of motion - in others, you won't. Dislocation is serious enough to merit a vacation to the Emergency Room, so that is my recommendation to you.

See a doctor. X-rays or MRI will reveal the damage.

I dislocatd my right knee month ago and the worse thing I did was not stay off it and rest it.....Trust me, stay off of it for at least three weeks or it will swell to the size of a grapefruit and NEVER get better. At this point they want me on steroids and cortizone shots to get the swelling down....No fun, best of luck to you........

are you still walking? in pain? dislocation is not a minor thing so you may want a more drastic approach like seeing a doctor.
