Clorox colors! It's made to get colored clothes clean. Also, try washing your clothes inside out if you're worried about screen print fading. Always wash cold because heat is harsh. Oh, and let them air-dry because the dryer is harsh too.

First, offer to do the laundry. That way you can control what happens to your clothes. Turn everything inside-out, wash in COLD water and use a detergent specially formulated for cold water wash. Go to the laundry detergents aisle of your local supermarket or Wal-Mart and get a liquid detergent made for gentle or dark wash. Use less than the amount indicated on the label - about half (or even less, depends on how dirty the clothes are and how much you put in the machine) the recommended dose is fine.
You could try Woolite, Zero, Arctic Power (if available in your area). You could even try the store brands - they're often pretty good. The main difference from one detergent to another is the amount of bleaching agent used. The more expensive it is, the more bleaching agent it contains - not an exact science, but a good rule-of-thumb to follow.
Good luck!

Wash your clothes in cool water and use detergents that say for keeping colors bright. and beyond that use a clothes hanger-line dryer- not the regular dryer. the heat makes clothes shrink and fade. i use tide and woolite and do what i just told you and hardly ever fade anything. also woolite makes a dark brand for your black clothing.
you may have to iron with line drying but you won't fade anything.
good luck!

First off, I would do my own laundry, because my dad used to destroy my stuff! Secondly, try turning your clothes inside out and adding salt to the was to keep them from fading. Do not wash colors and darks together ,for that makes the color drab and faded.

Close all the buttons, zippers, whatever, turn the garment inside out, and wash gently in warm water/cold rinse. If you put the items in a pillow case with a zipper, that will really protect them. They don't get so beat up in the dryer either. But be sure they have enough room to agitate.

It is not the detergent...
Try these:
Always use cold water for colors.
To "seal" the color put salt in the water to avoid faiding at least the first couple of times you wash them.
Try using softner and detergents that protect colors such as Clorox2... for colors.
Good luck!
