What comes after greed? Comfortable retirement.
How is it stopped in diplomats?
Get rid of lobbyists, get rid of the electoral college, and give the power back to the states. Also, put serious campaign spending limits in place to prevent richer candidates from monopolizing advertising. Oh - and pray like hell, because the chances of any of this actually happening are about 1 in a gazillion.

Malignant, repugnant, disgusting, evil greed. That about discribes the pair of them.

The way to eliminate greed in high ranking public servants is to have Federally funded elections. Eliminate all corporate sponsorship of elections through their high contribution limits. Also, make lobbying illegal. Then congress would have to start listening to all the people and not to the people who sign their paychecks (corporations).

The Constitution still gives the People (via Congress) the power to regulate commerce and promote the general welfare. President Bush is a despot who has tried to empower an imperial president to offset the power the Constitution gives the People. The first step in saving our nation is impeaching President Bush. The democrats dropped the ball on that one. So, the second step is never electing a Republican president ever again that thinks like President Bush does.

Pure Evil.

How is greed stopped? How about some sort of "conflict of interest" clause which would have NEVER allowed Rumsfeld or Cheney to make billions off of stuff they were INVOLVED with.

Like Tamaflu and Halliburton.

Anyone here noticed that Bush's way of talking sounds very similiar to Charles Manson... not saying they are the same or think alike but the innunciation and twang and the stops in speech. My wife pointed this out the other day and now I can't stop seeing the similiarities.
