Don`t you know what happened to the dinasours? Or to te many many other things that vanished from the world? The world and the universe will survive the humaqns, as they did a millin years. Only these wretched humans will disappear and a new , more enlightened species will surface again.
Ofcourse , from time to time , the world will come out with a protest to inform us that we are heading for disaster... a tsuenomi here , a volcano eruption there.. and flooding and the glacier..If the humans didnot get the message loud and clear it is their choice.

I personally believe the human race will die off(because of ourselves/changes in the world from what we have done) before the world is actually 'destroyed'. And then the world will slowly repair itself once its gotten rid of us.
This reminds me of a cartoon drawing i once saw..
Doctor says to the world 'The bad news is you've got advanced-stage humans. The good news is they've just about run their course and you should be on the mend soon.'

In all probability, I think the world can destroy us first before we can make a dent with our carelessness for its wellbeing.
Having said that, yes have have destroyed the ozone layer , the glaciers have receded and will never come back, global warming is making the ocenas rise higher. what else...
If we succeed in destroying the world, we succeed in destroying ourselves. Its like living and travelling on a wooden boat and tring to use the wood material as firewood. Darwin award.
I think we will smarten up before we get to that point.

i do not think we can actually destroy the world
we can destroy all life on it perhaps, but the world itself would still exist...........as for destroying ourselves and our fellow living organisms, not much if you believe in global warming
personally i think things will last at least a few generations longer......but who ever really knows?
