Yes. The 2008 season will be the last season for Yankee Stadium. They have already started building a new ballpark across the street that will also go by the name of Yankee Stadium which will be ready by the 2009 season. As others above me have stated, the stadium will not be torn down. It is simply going to be turned into a museum of some sort.

no they have been having ideas of building a new stadium- and they started it, im not sure but it to says they will have the stadium ready for the 09 season

No. They are building the new field basically across the street and the old one will be used as a museum (said Steinbrenner at the announcement of the new stadium).
