Not at all!
They weren't paying a tribute to the illegal acts that Michael Vick did, as many of the answerer's stated, they were paying tribute to their teammate, their friend, their brother. Michael Vick is human, he screwed up, everyone screws up in life. You have to support your friend/family through hard times. There is loyalty on the Falcons with their core group of guys, this is something Bobby Petrino knows nothing about!

This is my second time saying this so....here goes again...
When someone in a public view does injury to an unwilling living body (example: children and/or animals like fighting dogs then killing them) I believe that they and anyone that support them, should be stripped of their financial gain because they themselves are pure mean and are worst than dirt. Children and animals cannot protect themselves from vicious people. As for Roddy White and four other Atlanta Falcons being fined by the NFL for violating uniform regulations with tributes to Michael Vick during last week's Monday night game, it shows ignorance in the football players and/or adult fans that do not think what a person does represents themselves. It always has to become a Stupid Racial backing of backs. I don't care what color you are, if you hurt animals and children I will not back your back nor will I continue to purchase tickets to feed your pocket. It is too bad that some people are so stupid and cannot come out of their ignorance to finally support good judgment only. These are the supporters that have CRAP about themselves and that is why they support CRAP; it isn't a race thing.

They were not fined for a tribute to Vick per say. League rules allow no personal messages on a players uniform. The players were fined not because they chose to pay tribute to Vick but because they violated league rules. And they should have, they know the rules and decided to do what they did anyway. They have no room to complain about it.

They didn't fine them for paying a tribute to Vick. They fined them for uniform violations. They are called uniforms and they are supposed to be uniform. That's the rules. They will have to pay tribute to Vick in some other fashion.

I don't know what they did so I can't say if I support it or not. I mean it could be funny it could be mean. I mean the Michael Vick jersey with a dog bite in it is funny. But if they like brought Pit bulls to the game, put them in a cage wearing Vick jerseys, that is a bit extreme.

I agree with it. The players have to have approval from the NFL in order to advertise something on national television. The players did not have approval to show that "Free Vick" advertisement on the shirt during the game and they got fined for it. It's really a no brainer.

Its a shame the team owner or coach didn't tell them to take that crap off before they even got onto the field. Vick is an embarrassment to the team, the NFL, and himself. And then you get these idiots talking about how he is a good guy and his punishment wasn't fair. Vick is a felon and killed dogs for fun. He got what he deserved.

My feeling is that the rule should be re-evaluated. But as long as the rule isin place it should be enforced, the NFL told Jake Plummer he would be fined if he did anything for Pat Tillman a few years back. I don't know if Portis had approval for his Sean Taylor tribute, but I think the key here is that the rule needs to be addressed

It's an unpopular opinion that makes Falcon's fans look stupid.

This costs the franchise money.

Hence the rule, No acting like a moron on TV.

Strongly agree. The NFL has a strict uniform policy as it is. If you violate it, you will be fined. That's just how they run it. If you violate it by sporting written words showing "support" for someone who voluntarily plead guilty to felonies and is a liar, drug user, criminal, animal abuser and an std carrier...you will most definitely be receiving your fine papers in a swift manner.
