one of those questions i've never had the answer to. So if astronauts suited up, and succesfuly left the earths atmosphere into space towards the moon - how long in days would it take before they entered into The moons atmosphere ?

ah bollocks - sorry i meant the MOON, not mars but if u wish to asnwer for both Moon and Mars go for it.

It took the mars orbiters aprox. 7 months to reach mars orbit, The moon depending on what craft they use,, Likie the apollo missions took only a few days to reach the moon,.

There have been a number of missions to the Moon, so we know the time needed to get to the moon is about 4 days.

We have sent a number of missions to Mars, but none involving humans. The trajectory that is typically used would require a trip of about 8.5 months to get there.

260 days is the number I hear most often given

BUT --- Man will never travel to mARS BECAUSE WE CANNOT CONTROL DANGEROUS rADIATION FROM sPACE AND THE BURSTS OF GAMMA RADIUATION FROM THE SUN
