i was wondering if fundamentals of public speaking is really hard to do online. i am considering taking it online rather than in person. and how does it work. like web cam, do you have to have a special program on your computer to do the class?

The academic material (what makes a good speech) is like any other course. The only syllabus I've seen for an online public speaking course required that the student video speeches presented to an audience (real audience) and submit them for grading which means you'd need access to an audience (church, work, etc...)

I've seen classes that required debates use web cam and video conferencing.

To whom do you give your speeches, the monitor?
How will you learn to speak in front of a group?
