Good question-Seriuosly
I think that Stairway may be the single most over-rated song in the long history of rock'n roll . It is overweight , bloated and boring as hell and the only thing that saves it from oblivion is that is has a great ending and DJ's play it to death
Chestnut Mare by the Byrds and Dixie Chicken on the live Little Feat album Waiting For Columbus are much better songs than S2H will ever be as is St .Stephen on the Live Dead album
I'm going to vote for the Macerena because at least that song is lot of fun

The problem is that when you get to the top of the "Stairway to Heaven" everyone there is doing the "Macarena".
My answer is Stairway.

Yeah, funny.
Although "Macarena" was #1 for 14 weeks. "Stairway to Heaven" never charted on the Billboard Singles Chart. Go figure.

If you're answering based on popularity, "Macarena" is top. It's known internationally. If you're basing it on actual song layout and form, "Stairway to Heaven" is the best. It really depends on a person's point of view and what you really consider "best."

thats a no-brainer---can "stairway" get a whole bar/club dancing along together like "macarena" can??!! NO!, and that is exactly why "stairway" is greater-- you really didn't think i was gonna say " macaroni" i mean "macarena" did you??

I remember hearing Macarena several months before it caught on. A friendly Portuguese family got their hands on it & I liked it...then it got beat to death.

I love Led Zepplin but hate stairway.
