Yes they know things that we don't. They could tell us, but 99% of us would not understand what they are talking about. that's because it is evident that most people haven't even got a rudimentary understanding of science. For instance does anyone understand what dark matter is and why it is important? How about string theory, quantum mechanics, entropy?

If you understand these principles, then you shold understand why aliens aren't visiting us. Here's a hint: at the speed of light it would take over four years to reach the nearest star. But you would need to accelerate up to that speed, and decelerate back down to a stop, and not squash the travelers at the same time which means your acceleration would be limited to about 48ft/s/s (1 1/2 G) I'm not gonna take the time to calculate that out. Suffice it to say it would take hundreds of years for the one way trip. And for what?
A vaction in Disneyland? To see if the Wii's are in stock at Gamestop?

Come to think of it, I think I saw a couple of them pigging out at the Ruby Tuesday's salad bar the other night. Aliens love garbanza beans and the low-cal balsamic vinagarette.

Sure. They dissected the aliens that crash landed at Roswell and found that their liver secrets an enzyme which cures all forms of cancer in humans. This enzyme can be secured by sending a small army of astronaut marines to planet Zephyria in the Omega quadrant of the Andromeda Galaxy utilizing the hyperspace capable ships currently being hidden in Area 51. However, the pharmaceutical industry would stand to lose billions in cancer treatment drugs if the disease were actually cured. So the lobbyists have been successful in getting the government to limit space exploration to human technological capacities only.

Of course they are. What would your reaction be in knowing that the US military is powerless against space invaders? While ET hasn't decided to make an all out invasion, yet, he may be coming and going pretty much at will. Should ET make such a decision to invade Earth there will be very little we will be able to do to stop him.
