Actually it is none of the above, but I'm guessing you have to pick one. It is French for "unravelling," and it is anything AFTER the conflict is resolved. Think Scooby Do and the gang discussing how they solved the mystery. Not all stories have a denouement- some merely end when the conflict is resolved.

Dale is correct--it's the bit that happens after the main conflict is resolved. This is where some of the loose ends get tied up, things get explained, last jokes are told, hints given about the sequel, the wanderer comes home, etc.

But if you absolutely have to pick one of those answers because it's your homework, then put A.
