yes... she used to test poisons out on her servants i guess to see what happened... she would invite them to eat with her and poison their food.... then one day marc antony found her dead, there was a servant girl in the room also dead. she had given the servant girl the poison and then used it on herself.

Yes, we are told it was by asp (venomous snake).
She presumably wished to avoid the same treatment that other Roman prisoners got when the commander had a victory.
A recent example (to her) was Versangettorix, the Gallic leader who fought Caesar. He was kept in prison for 5 years, and ritually strangled in the triumphal celebrations.

As far as we know.
Her bid for power had failed, her ally (Mark Antony) was dead, and Octavius was going to have her and her kingdom under his control shortly. She had no reason to want to live, and would likely have been killed shortly anyway.
