Yeah...I've seen a couple inflatable snowmen and not one real one. Poor Frosty. I keep wanting to make one but the snow around here is still too darn soft. The inflatables are pry perfect for warm states.
Yep, I remember speaking to a a co-worker a few years ago about how Christmas is so commercialized. People are so into feeling they must BUY things that the spirit is lost. I've told my relatives for the past few years that I don't want them to buy me gifts. I'd rather spend time with those I care about then expect a gift.

Illinois has plenty of snow but people in the neighborhoods have lost the sense of having some fun in such a nice activity as building a snowman, there is snow to export! especially after the last weekend storm, however the inflatable snowmen are everywhere :(

Yes! It's so sad. My house sits on a large area of land with a private access road so we can't see other homes from our yard but my yard still has about half a dozen real snow men and when visit family we either see no snow men or fake ones...my 5 year old son was so funny the other day, we were at my aunt's house and he was complaining that he couldn't see any snowmen and wanted to go onto the neighbors yards and build snowmen for them.

There's more inflatable snowmen here (in GA) because we rarely get snow to make one. If we do get snow here isn't enough for a snowman and it only lasts a few hours before turning to slush!

It is sad! I don't have either cause I'm not one for playing in the snow long enough to make a snowman but I really don't like the inflatable anything, they bug me.

Yeah -- and I live where there's snow -- BUT, I saw a GREAT snowman just the other day. They built it right by the bus stop sign and gave it arms -- one was holding on to the sign most and the other was up and waving like it wanted a ride --
Made me SMILE!

Call me a bah humbug, but I don't like the inflatable things. I agree...too many of them. Have people gotten to the point of being too lazy to make snowmen the "old fashion" way? I'm starting to think so.

Oh my, I hate those. They're so cheap looking, even if they are 50 dollars. I hate hate HATE them! And to those of you who use them--if you have tons of beautiful lights surrounding one of those cheesy snowmen, the only thing I will notice is how stupid your snowman looks.

I live in California and those blow up things are EVERYWHERE! I would build a snowman if we had snow. :)
