I know a girl who's last name is Savinon. How would you pronounce it? and have you ever heard of it? and what do you think of that last name?

it's probably a derivative of the French ... Sauvignon (like the wine "Sauvignon Blanc")
pronounced [ So-Veen-Yon ]

or it could have another origin...just depends on the family

My guess would be saa-vin-yin, but before I said that I would ask her how to properly say it.

I would say it's french of orgin and you would say it Sa-vin-yon....
