Everyone has mentioned some oldies but goodies. In a purple haze the years run together and I can't remember when we went from being hippies to boomers. It's all been good. Many of the songs that run through my mind are/were firends and siblings faves like Crystal Blue Persuasion, InaGodivida, Smoke on the Water, my brothers was so into the Doors I always tried to find him an 8 track, cassette etc., borderline and after hippiedom were Steve Miller Band, Peter Frampton have you seen him in commercials-what a shock he and i are aged. Can you beleive he only made two albums. Joplin, Hendrix, Carol King, Baez, S&F, blues have been a big culture before during and after and that beautiful Linda Ronstadt was way cool at one time. Then we have Bread and all the mellow love songs. Carpenters, man Karen died way too young. Just remembering makes me wanna be Leaving On A Jet Plane...

I guess I like Psychotic Reaction and Purple Haze. I only like the Night They Drove Ole Dixon Day by Joan Baez. Love Simon and Garfunkel's Richard Cory.

Dream a Little Dream of Me, Mansions, Gemini Childe, Nothing's Too Good For My Little Girl, Too Late, Twelve Thirty, Rooms, and Midnight Voyage. All were hits, and not so big hits by the Mamas & the Papas....obviously I was a BIG fan!
