I mean, he is the most awesomest person ever. He is my hero. I want to be just like him one day! I hate it when people talk sh!t about him. Like my cousin for example...he always calls him gay or whatever. I know about the stuff he has done on stage. I read the book, "The Long Hard Road Out if Hell." anyways... what are your opinions, if you hate him tell why.

When you don't conform and follow the masses, you will be an outcast, that simple. I like his music and I love how he spits in the face of religion as they attempt to control society.

I don't hate him personally, but the second sentence you wrote, about him being the "most awesomest(sic) person ever," and the part about him being your "hero," is why I dislike celebrities and the worship they exact from children and people. If that is the kind of person you wish to emulate, then so be it. At least it's easy to see why people in this world are so screwed up.

I don't hate him and I am a 37 year old mother. I do know that when he was in Hawaii for a concert he smashed a bottle on his head or something to cause a minor cut and had to be taken to the hospital emergency room. I heard he acted like a wimp. But I saw him on an interview and he is pretty intelligent. Maybe some people don't like him because of the way he chooses to dress.

In time extremes wear thin, there is a need for ever expanding shock or it bores, in time it becomes a step or two over any ones line and people turn away in disgust.
Evaluating a persons talent is simple, if you took away the make up and stage persona would you still like him.
If his talent is his stage persona, that's fine, but know that when he gets off stage, he is someone else.
Which one do you want to be like? The one you see on stage for a few hours, or the one who really lives his life off stage and do you know enough of the real one to understand the difference?

I am a 42 year old white male. You would think that I would hate him, but actually some of his lyrics are pretty heavy. I think people are judging the book by its cover, without listening to what he is saying. When I was young Ozzy Osbourne had the same problem.

I don't think people hate him...I just think they misunderstand him. He's a little too "out there" for people to take sometimes.

When my son was 14 he was obssessed with him so much it worried me a little...so I took him to see MM so that maybe his obssession would lessen once he saw him as a real person...guess what? I actually turned into a fan myself! His "message" is WAY deeper than it appears on the surface if you take the time to really listen to what he says, and get past his persona. He uses a lot of "shock" value to get you to have to THINK, to see through it all to the actual message.

Personally I can not say either way.
I would sufice it to say that it is probably because people thinks he poses a threat to society based soley on his appearance. Unfortunately in todays society you are your appearance.

I have seen pics of him from his concerts and just by looking at him from a closed minded point of view. I would think that he is the leader of a sadomasichist cult. He may remind people of the boogeyman or what they think the devil looks like.

I think that he is probably a lost soul who wants people to notice him but he is afraid. So he wears all that stuff to hide who he really is.

Every time I see pics of him all I can think is ....... Doesn't that hurt. My opinion is purely on the pics that I have seen of him.

I don't necessarily hate him or not like him, i just dont share the same mind frame as him. Im not judging him because I dont want anyone judging me, but I dont like the way he puts down God. I mean who would put someone down for doing right. He follows the devil, and the devil isnt nothing but wrong doings.

I think when you said everyone hates him, I think you were refurring to me too because I do tell you to quit liking him, but I am real sorry. I didnt know you felt that strongly on that subject. SORRY!!!!!!!!

I don't hate him, but he's certainly not the "most awesome" person ever.......especially compared to someone like Mother Teresa or Gandhi.

His one big talent isn't music......it's using shocking situations to engage everyone's attention and then taking advantage of that attention.....just like Madonna.

He is a unique musician. I dont neccesarily share the same mind on his views, but admire that he sticks to his guns no matter how much hate people bestow on him. Im also a big john 5 fan, but skold is doing a good job!
