If you are new to the bank expect them to hold the check for 15days. Once you've established more banking with them, and they realize that you're not going to deposit false checks, they'll take that 15days of clearning off your account. Personally I hate this bank. I will never bank with them. They charge you for each and everything you do with them. Read all the junk that they gave you when you opened the account. It's amazing that if you get the wrong account you might get charge for using the ATM more than 5times a month.

I dont bank with them, but i have heard lots of nightmare stories. I run deposits to them for my employer and its always a pain, but the manager is the girl of my dreams (minus the rock on her finger)

$330 in costs in one week. I purely make $one thousand a month! this is a third of my monthy income. I spoke to my close by branch and referred to as shopper recommendations and replaced into advised that "no person has authority to override those costs". A financial company as enormous as BofA and no person has authority. i could no longer communicate along with her supervisor or everybody else. i visit open a sparkling account at a financial company like California financial company and have faith and deliver a foul letter and a chopped up B of A debit card to the President of the organisation.

They are holding the money so that they can collect two weeks worth of interest. It is a scam. U.S. Bank plays that game too.

What's wrong with a little more security? Think of yourself and the bank. You'd want the bank to go the extra mile to foil fraud. Inconvenient yes but everybody makes out OK.

You're not the first person I've heard complaints from. Still, I like them because they have a brokerage service that attaches to the bank part, and they have ATMs all over the place.

customer service is a joke especially trying to get answers from overseas....put on hold, transferred, and then back to the automated crap....and chat is selective in who it will speak with.
I did a transfer last week....5 days later, still not there...when I asked them who they sent my money to, they disconnected me....Fidelity investments sends me money all over the world w/no charge and quickly...when I ask them why they can do this for me they said.."sir, we're not a bank" that's why..
